Take the Afrosiyob high-speed train to Samarkand (2 hours). Afternoon at the Registan — three magnificent madrasahs facing a vast plaza, glowing turquoise in the afternoon light.

Visit Gur-e-Amir (Tamerlane's mausoleum), Bibi-Khanum Mosque, and the atmospheric Siab Bazaar. Afternoon explore Shah-i-Zinda, the stunning Avenue of Mausoleums with the finest tile work in Central Asia.

Morning at leisure. Transfer to Bukhara Airport or train back to Tashkent for your flight home.
