Detailed Itinerary

D1 Lhasa Arrival
Welcome to the Roof of the World! Airport pickup. Rest and hydrate — acclimatization is essential at 3,650m. Gentle evening walk around Barkhor.
D2 Lhasa — Potala & Pilgrimage
Morning visit to the magnificent Potala Palace. Afternoon at Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Circuit — join Tibetan pilgrims spinning prayer wheels.
D3 Lhasa — Monastic Life
Visit Drepung Monastery in the morning, then Sera Monastery in the afternoon to watch the famous monk debates. Evening at a traditional Tibetan restaurant with yak butter tea.
D4 Lhasa to Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse via Yamdrok Lake (one of Tibet's three sacred lakes). Cross Karo La Pass (5,045m) with views of Nojin Kangtsang glacier. Visit Gyantse Pelkor Chode Monastery and Kumbum Stupa.
D5 Shigatse to Everest Base Camp
Drive to Rongbuk Monastery via Gawu La Pass (5,198m) — on clear days, see 5 of the world's highest peaks. Arrive at Everest Base Camp (north side) and watch sunset paint Everest pink.
D6 EBC to Shigatse
