Abby founded Asia Wonder Tours in 2010 in Lhasa, Tibet, with a simple belief: the best travel experiences are created by locals who love where they live. Under her leadership, the company has grown from 5 guides to 200+ staff across 10 offices, serving 120,000+ travelers. She personally designs our Tibet and Silk Road itineraries.
Kenji Tanaka
Japan Country Director · Tokyo-based, 14+ years
Kenji leads our Japan operations from our Shinjuku office. A former cultural historian at Kyoto University, he brings academic depth to every itinerary. His specialty is blending Japan's ancient traditions with contemporary experiences — from private tea ceremonies with Kyoto tea masters to after-hours access at Tokyo's most exclusive galleries.
Sophea Chheng
Southeast Asia Regional Director · Siem Reap, 12+ years
Sophea grew up in the shadow of Angkor Wat and has spent over a decade sharing Cambodia's wonders with travelers. Based in Siem Reap, she oversees our Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Philippines operations. Her team of 45+ local guides delivers the warm, personal service that defines Southeast Asian hospitality.
Tenzin Norbu
Himalaya Operations Manager · Kathmandu & Lhasa, 15+ years
Tenzin splits his time between Kathmandu and Lhasa, managing our Himalaya programs across Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. A former mountaineering guide who has summited Everest twice, he personally trains every high-altitude guide. His deep relationships with monasteries, mountain lodges, and local communities open doors that other operators cannot access.

India & South Asia Director · New Delhi, 13+ years
Based in New Delhi, Raj leads our India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal cultural programs. His background in archaeology and Indian art history means every tour includes layers of context most travelers miss. His personal connections with Rajasthan's royal families unlock palace dinners and heritage hotel stays unavailable to the public.
